non conclusive 3 round function test to see if a ar40 bolt, specifically a Stern Defense BU40 (with weight) gets along well with 9mm through a Ballistic Advantage 8.3 modern series barrel. using the MAG-AD9, an ETS 30 round 40 Cal mag to feed 9mm fmj and a cheap 8.3-8.4 oz solid 9mm buffer • With the SD mag block it's probably not a good idea to overcome the magazine spring slapping the bolt release after taking a closer look at the arm the follower actuates. • kinda like a 40-9 conversion, the 40cal bolt doesn't seem to have any issues feeding or extracting 9mm • • So an AR pistol chambered in a pistol cartridge, with an arm brace not a stock..... hmmm probably shouldn't call it a PCC just like you shouldn't call it a rifle huh? • • stay tuned for a 7.5 357 Sig PDW/PCC pistol build because Sig dropped the ball on getting the MPX to market in 357S or anything but 9mm, much like LWD did.
