The material is definitely thinner than what I’m used to with my other inflatable kayaks. • There is noticeable yaw movement when paddling so straight line kayaking is not as efficient. • When used as a tandem with two adults there isn’t a ton of leg room. For reference when testing out this kayak I am 5’8” tall and my partner is 5’10”. If you are 6’ or taller you probably won’t want to use the K2 as a tandem although it could still be used as a solo. • The valves and accessories are cheaper and not as nice to use. I found the valves easy to inflate but took more effort to deflate. • All this being said there is no doubt that the Explorer K2 has been extremely popular and it has a TON of good reviews.
