Heartaches (Klenner-Hoffman) by Harry James his Orchestra, vocal by Marion Morgan • Composed in 1931 as a ballad, “Heartaches” is best-remembered for its up-tempo Ted Weems instrumental arrangements and for its 1961 doo-wop treatment by The Marcels. As the reissued 1933 and 1938 recordings by Weems shot up the charts in early 1947, several new versions were also released.
