How to make a woven heart for Valentines Day

Get your kids crafting and make these cute woven hearts for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day or even Father's Day. Not only are they fun to make, they're also a lovely handmade gift for little ones to give the special people in their lives. FREE printable template here ... http://www.kidspot.com.au/kids-activi... • What you need: • 1 x sheet of red paper • 1 x sheet of white paper • FREE woven heart template • scissors • Lay the two sheets of paper on top of each other. Fold them in half. • Print the woven heart template onto a sheet of card. • Now place the woven heart template onto the folded sheets of paper, with the fold mark along the fold. • Cut around the outline. • Carefully cut along the dotted lines. • Now pull the two shapes apart and place them flat on the table in front of you, at right angles to each other (see video). • Take the first strip of each shape and weave them together (see video). • Keep going until you have an alternate pattern of red and white and the heart shape appears. • Place a little strip of paper on the top as a hanger and hang them up for Valentine's Day. • Notes: • You can also use these woven hearts as a little basket.
