Vilma Banky in her last film, A Lady to Love which also starred a no0b named Edward G Robinson (not seen in these clips but has a major role as the old man she marries against her will). • Vilma Banky was one of the biggest sensations of the 1920s Silent Movie era. Imported from her native Hungary she was well known for her stunning looks and amazing roles. She played Rudolph Valentino's love interest in his final two films (at his request as he was a good friend of Banky, but not a lover) The Eagle and Son of the Sheik . • She only made 8 talkies, a few in both English and German. However they were never well recieved, and being happily married to Rod La Rocque Banky decided to retire. • She lived in near obscurity until her death in 1991.
