At 8:32 pm Saturday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District Firefighters were dispatched to a report of a head-on vehicle crash on Sellers Road at Church Road in the unincorporated Brentwood. • Upon arrival by the California Highway Patrol (CHP), it was reported that one female was trapped with her leg pinned under both the steering wheel and seat of the vehicle. • Fire crews used the jaws of life to free the female from the vehicle where she was transported by ground ambulance (AMR) to Liberty High School where a medical helicopter landed and transported her to a local hospital with major leg injuries. • In total, two people were injured and both vehicles were a total loss. The crash is under investigation with the California Highway Patrol. • Note – the video was cut for length and when possible, to show as little of the victim as possible.
