Hurricane Helene swept across much of the south east and caused catastrophic damage to most of Appalachia. • I had no idea what I was getting ready to document when I started this video over a week ago, and when I finished filming I still didn’t know the full extent of the damage. We didn’t have cell service and internet for several days and were cut off from everyone else. • When connection and cell service start coming back, we learned what a tragedy hit our region. • Many neighborhoods and even whole towns are swept away, roads are completely destroyed and many areas are unreachable still(!!) people lost lives, homes, businesses, farms- everything. • My heart is heavy💔. • Almost 2 months later there are still a ton of people living jn tents, homeless, without any means to rebuild and get up on their feet.
