#ClarinetLesson #ClarinetTutorial #ClarinetScales • In this lesson, we learn the notes of the F MAJOR SCALE in the third octave for the CLARINET. Here are the note names: • F Major Scale: F G A Bb C D E F • *Your band director might refer to this scale as Concert E-flat . Here's why: Clarinet is a TRANSPOSING instrument, so when you play an F major scale on clarinet it is ACTUALLY an E-flat major scale on piano* • The clarinet can play this scale in THREE different octaves. See our other F Major Scale videos to learn them all! • When you first start to learn a new scale, it is important to go SLOWLY through each note and be sure you are playing it correctly. In this new series of videos, I will demonstrate each scale for you slowly, note-by-note. Each note is shown with a fingering chart. Once you can play the scale at this slow speed, you can practice playing it faster and faster. • THANK YOU PATRONS!!!! • Chrissy Brubaker • Larry P Rumpf • Christopher Sigman • Gary LiCalzi • Angela Christoforou • Angie L • Charles Posner • Brian Parkin • Jacque Jean Cully • Joelee mills • Susan Knable • hvarhol . • Kurt Grieb • Help Dr Selfridge make more great tutorials and lesson videos: • / drselfridge • || FOLLOW DR.
