Not much energy was left, as the bullet did not penetrate the wood behind the clay. Velocity recorded was 2,754 fps. • At 400 yards the round failed to penetrate the plate. Backface deformation was well under the max limit. Whether or not the plate would take a second hit, I can't say for certain, but I wouldn't chance it.
