Santorini Caldera Hike Fira to Oia Detailed Trail Guide

The Fira to Oia hike along the caldera rim trail in Santorini, Greece is totally incredible https://santorinidave.com/fira-oia-hike. The entire hike takes between 3-5 hours depending on how fast you walk, how often you stop, and can be done in either direction. You'll find tons more info about how to prepare and what to expect at the link above. Overall, the hike begins in the densely packed area of Fira, where you pass through lots of commerce, before ascending up and over a hill and through Firostefani, which is also filled with a variety of restaurants and shops. There's a slight uphill climb out of Firostefani en route to Imerovigli, which is mostly flat. Leaving Imerovigli is where it becomes more of a hike, with fewer hotels and businesses, and more open and dramatic caldera views, before eventually finishing in Oia. The side hike off of Imerovigli around Skaros Rock will add an additional hour or so to your hike, and is also fantastic. If you've got the time and energy to include it, it's definitely worth it.
