He struggled throughout handling issues when he spun on the 90th lap. After checking for damage, he noticed his rear tyres were bald as he got back in the car. Hill was unable to belt himself back in properly (he needed the help of mechanics) and as he passed the pits he indicated he would be coming in for new tyres. • Seconds later one of the tyres collapsed, the car flipped at 150 mph and Hill was ejected from the Lotus. He suffered major leg injuries, and in the hospital suffered complications. He was advised he would never race again - he was back in time for the 1970 F! season. • Teams after the crash: • 1970: Rob Walker Racing Team (0 podiums) • 1971 and 1972: Brabham Motor Racing Developments Ltd (0 podiums) • 1973, 1974,1975 Embassy Racing (0 podiums) • Graham Hill (15 February 1929 - 29 November 1975)
