In recent months, there's been more and more exciting developments in the world of Nintendo Switch FlashCarts. For those unaware, a FLASHCART is a device that allows you to load backed up games to a micro SD card and load into your Device to work just like a traditional cartridge. Many use these devices for piracy and to play games illegally downloaded from the Internet, which I don't condone. What makes these latest developments so exciting is that they don't require you to hack or mod your system, and there are now competing models. So let's take a look as there are now more Switch FlashCarts competitors with the addition of the new Unlock Switch. • The first FLASHCART that hit of note is called the MiG Switch. Mig-Switch is the only back-up development device for ALL Nintendo Switch consoles, regardless of their version, firmware, type (OLED, regular or Lite) that does not require any installation or modification of the console. Simply plug play! • Next up is the Unlock Switch, which promises to do just about the same things as the MiG Switch but at a lower cost. Much like the MiG Switch, they also have their own dumper and you didn't need to hack your system. • What makes Both the MiG Switch Dumper Unlock Switch so exciting is that they are plug-and-play and allows you to make a backup of your physical cartridge without having to do anything to your Nintendo Switch, Switch Lite, or Switch OLED. You simply make a backup of your existing cartridge, put the ROM onto an SD Card, and put that SD Card into the flash cart. • Being totally transparent, MiG Switch did reach out to me in 2024 to ask if I'd be interested in testing their Device. I asked a few questions, they answered, and I created a YouTube Short to discuss it. A few weeks later they asked when I was making more content on the MiG Switch, and I told them when they have more news or when they sent the sample. That was the last time I heard from them. I've reached out multiple times and not gotten any response. That's truly disappointing as I was hoping to get a unit for review. • I've not had much contact with Unlock Switch except on X or Twitter. I have reached out and let them know I'd be interested in a review unit, so e shall see. • #nintendoswitch #MigSwitch #UnlockSwitch #Flashcart #nintendo #videogames #piracy #RomDumper
