This video will outline the requirements for obtaining the Global Talent Visa (Independent Program). • Immigration recently launched a new visa pathway for highly skilled and talented individuals to work and live permanently in Aus. This visa is the quickest possible way to obtain permanent residency in Australia. The general idea is that having these highly skilled migrants will create opportunities for Australians by transferring skills, promoting innovation, and creating job opportunities. • This visa does not require you to have an employer that is willing to sponsor your visa. However there are some very big requirements for this visa. • • ELIGIBILITY: • Immigration wants to attract applicants in future focused industries, including: • • Agricultural Technology • • Space and Advanced Manufacturing • • FinTech (Financial Technology) • • Energy and Mining Technology • • Medical Technology • • Cyber Security • • Quantum Information, Advanced Digital, Data Science and ICT • SALARY REQUIREMENT: • To express interest for priority processing within the program, a candidate will be highly skilled in one of the seven target sectors and be able to command a salary that meets the high income threshold ($153,600 AUD per year) or be a highly graded recent PhD or Masters Graduates. • -- • Step 1. Lodging an expression of interest • You need to be invited to apply for this visa. This means that you would first submit an expression of interest (EOI) using Global Talent contact form. Immigration will review your expression of interest, and if they feel you will be a benefit to the Australian economy, will invite you to lodge a visa through the immigration portal. • • Step 2. Apply for a visa • If you are invited to apply for the visa you will receive an email with a unique reference number.
