Learn how to remove and replace the display panel for the HP Stream x360 11-p000 Convertible PC. • For other helpful videos go to http://hp.com/supportvideos or / hpsupport . • More support options for your HP device are available at http://hp.com/support. • Follow these steps to remove and replace the display panel for the HP Stream x360 11-p000 Convertible PC. • Before you begin, Remove the display cover, webcam, and P-sensor board. • The following procedure should only be performed in a clean room environment. • For removal, take of the metallic tape that secures the wireless antenna transceivers to the display panel • Make note of the placement of the tape that secures the display panel cable to the display panel assembly. • Remove the tape that secures the display panel cable to the display panel assembly. • Make note of the routing of the display panel cable for later replacement. • Remove the display panel cable from the routing channel and adhesive on the display panel assembly. • Peel back the retention tape and disconnect the display panel cable from its connector on the touchscreen control board and display panel. • Remove the display panel cable and set aside. • Remove the tape that secures the wireless antenna cables to the display panel assembly. • Remove the wireless antenna cables from the routing channel on the display enclosure. • Remove the 2 mm P1 Phillips broad and two 2.5 mm P1 Phillips -head screw that secures the left display panel hinge to the display panel assembly. • Remove the 2 mm P1 Phillips broad and 2.5 mm P1 Phillips head screw that secures the right display panel hinge to the display panel assembly. • Lift the display panel assembly to open the display panel hinges. • Remove the display panel assembly alignment pins from the display panel hinges and place it on the top cover. • Remove the three 1.5 mm P1 Phillips broad-head screws that secure the display panel to the touchscreen glass. • Lift the display panel off of the alignment pins on the touchscreen glass and remove. • For replacement, place the display panel onto the alignment pins on the touchscreen glass. • Replace the three 1.5 mm P1 Phillips broad-head screws that secure the display panel to the touchscreen glass. • Lift the display panel assembly and place it onto the display panel hinges with the alignment pins. • Replace the 2 mm P1 Phillips broad and two 2.5 mm P1 Phillips -head screw that secures the left display panel hinge to the display panel assembly. • Replace the 2 mm P1 Phillips broad and 2.5 mm P1 Phillips head screw that secures the right display panel hinge to the display panel assembly. • Carefully close the display panel assembly so that it rests on the top cover. • Route the wireless antenna cables through the routing channel on the display enclosure. • Replace the tape that secures the wireless antenna cables to the display panel assembly. • Connect the display panel cable into its connector on the display panel , touchscreen control board and replace the retention tape. • Route the display panel cable through the routing channel and adhesive on the display panel assembly. • Replace the tape that secures the display panel cable to the display panel assembly. • Carefully adhere the metallic tape that secures the wireless antenna transceivers to the display panel. • Caution: Improperly installing or replacing parts could damage your HP device or void your warranty.
