This time, I’m talking about immediate echolalia. When a child is repeating words or questions, this is known as #echolalia. While autism and repeating phrases are common, I still get many questions from confused parents about “why is my child repeating words,” and “what can I do about echolalia?” In today’s video blog, I’m covering autism echolalia signs, and two steps you can take to resolve autism echolalic speech. • If your client(s) or child echoes words, they may have echolalia. But it’s important to remember that if a child does have echolalia, then it’s not all doom and gloom. At least, the child is talking, and most of the time their pronunciation and articulation is good as well.
