Hall amp Oates Interview 1981

This interview took place in 1981. Both interviews were done on the same day but separetly. I just put them together on one video. • First part is Daryl's interview, he talks about: working with producers vs producing themselves, their previous album X-Static (1979), stubborn Robert Fripp, working with John Oates, Philadelphia, Australia Tour incident, his relationship with Sara her sister Janna Allen, his John's role in Hall Oates, what he does on his day off, why he doesn't write sad songs anymore, Hall Oates musical roots, their late 70's High School tour and who he would've liked to see perform at his highschool. • John Interview starts at 29:43 he talks about: working with Neil Kernon (engineer), the difference/similarities between the Voices album the Private Eyes album, collaborating with Daryl, recording their next album Private Eyes recording music in general, which musicians play on the album, Janna Sara's contributions to songwriting, the similarities and differences with Daryl in their personality musically, what he does when he's not in the studio, Philadelphia, names a few song titles from Private Eyes album then titled Head Above Water (and apparently most of them didn't make it to the album = unreleased H O music!), music videos touring.
