How to Change Invoice Number Automatically in Excel • There are tons of people like us who creates invoices on excel. We love the way we work and we are happy with it. Yet there are lot of scope for improvements. For example, the automation of invoice number. Changing invoice number manually is troublesome. In this tutorial I’ll create a system that will automatically increase the invoice number by 1. I’ve done something similar in a previous video. In this system when you double click on the cell where you have your invoice number it will add 1 to the existing number. If it is empty then it will change to 1. If it is 1 then it will change to 2. • I’ll be using VBA for this tutorial and you can easily change the code. All you need to change the cell number from the vba code to match your worksheet. Done. Now follow the detail step by step procedure to change invoice number automatically in excel. • Step 1: Right-click on the worksheet tab where you have the Invoice template. • Step 2: Click on view code. • Step 3: Paste the code. If you change the code according to your invoice template it will change your number too. Simple yet productive.
