Although New Safari was based on the same platform as Harrier was made on which is omega arc platform derived by Land Rover’s Discovery platform (D8) which makes this SUV better in all the aspects. Tata claims just because of its platform Tata Safari does not require a 4*4 as this 4*2 SUV can do all wonders on all kind of terrains. Tata Safari is a seven seater SUV but in its top variant XZ+ XZA+ customer can choose a 6 seater option also where the middle seats will be chair or captain seats. • Variants Colours • Tata launched Safari in Six different variants (XE, XM, XT, XT+, XZ XZ+) where as XM, XT+ XZ+ has Automatic transmissions available (XMA, XTA+ XZA+) and the colours available in Tata Safari are also depends on Variant wise but its has plenty of options starts with the very Basic Orcus White , Rorale Blue, Daytona Grey, Tropical Mist (Adventure Persona Edition Colour also) • Gold Edition • Later on Tata Launched a new Gold edition in Tata Safari which has two different unique colours which are White Gold Black Gold ( Available only in Top Variant XZ+ XZA+). With launching of this very beautiful Dark edition Tata also added some of the features in the Top Variant of Safari which are Vantilated seats at Front and Middle Seats (in 6 Seater option) , Wireless Android Auto Apple Car Play. • Dark Edition • In 2022 Tata came up with the most awaited colour in Safari which is Oberon Black (Comes as Dark Edition). Dark edition in Tata Safari will be available only in XT+, XTA+, XZ+ XZA+. The interior in XZ+ XZA+ will also be fully Black in colour which makes this SUV out of the league. • Engine Transmission • Tata Safari comes with a Fiat sourced Diesel engine only . The Kryotec 2.0 L turbocharged engine which is a 1956CC 4 Cylinder and gives an output of 170Ps @3750 rpm and Torque of 350NM at 1750-2500 rpm. The Fuel tank of this Tata Safari is of 50Liters and the DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) capacity is 15litres. The Tata Safari comes with both Manual Automatic Transmission. The Manual transmission is a 6 Speed Transmission and the Automatic transmission is also a 6 Speed torque convertor. The combination of engine and Transmission is quite impressive which we checked in our Test Drive review available on our Youtube Channel - Car Quest. • Brakes Suspensios • Tata Safari comes with the all four Disc Brakes which is quite amazing which also consist of ABS EBD which enhances the Safety of the vehicle. The suspensions given in Tata Safari are also turned so well that the SUV will provide you the immense comfort and pleasure during the drives. The front suspensions are Independent, Lower Wishbone, Mcpherson Strut with Coil Spring Anti roll Bar where as the Rear suspensions are Semi Independent Twist Blade with Panhard rod Coil springs. • Infotainment System IRA App • Tata Safari comes with the worlds best sound system which is Harman by JBL. The top Variants has 4 Speakers 4 Tweeters with 1 Sub woofer where as other lower variants has at least 4 Speakers (except XE variant which does not have a system). Tata Safari top variant XZ+ comes with very impressive IRA app which consists so many connecting features. • Safety • For safety Tata has always been on Top and along with that Tata Safari comes with 2 Airbags in Standard where as the top variant XZ+ has 6 Airbags other than that So many ESP functionalities are also there in Tata Safari like Brake Disc Wiping, Corner stability Control, Hill Hold Assist, Parametric Alarm System , Roll over mitigation, Traction control, TPMS, Hill decent control and many more.
