The piece that I am finishing in this video has already had a danish oil finish applied to it, which will remain under the tung oil. Just to clarify: it is not necessary to apply danish oil prior to doing a tung oil finish. I chose to do so because I like the appearance of it, and because it allows me to demonstrate that the two finishes are compatible. • To see how the danish oil finish was applied, check out my video on that topic.
