#vwt4 #ajt #acv #engineloom #wiringproblem • Part 1. • I've spent a lot of time fault finding over the years of owning my VW T4 so hopefully this series of videos will help other owners track down their own niggling wiring faults on the engine-ecu-fuel pump wiring loom of doom. • This is how I did it. I'm not a professional auto electrician, just an enthusiast who likes to figure these things out. I'm sharing my experience to help other T4 owners who want to, or need to, do the same. • The routing on the VW T4 Transporter RHD is poor. So poor that it causes numerous issues with wiring breaking and being cooked by the heat of the engine and exhaust. • Wiring issues on the RHD VW T4 Transporter are a common cause of numerous faults and DTCs due to failing wires, failed fuel pumps, N108 valves, Quantity Adjuster issues etc etc. • A lot of the time a wire is damaged and broken and you can't even see it - you can only go my feel and sometimes just run new wires like I did. • The ten wires to the fuel pump can cause huge starting issues if just a little bit damaged, never mind if they're actually broken. I had wires that had continuity but were damaged and effecting starting and running. • Some wires are more prone to breaking than others - the notorious Black White wire, the thick Black and Yellow wire, and the ridiculously thin Black wire - all from the ECU to the fuse box following the most insane loom routing I've ever seen on a car - over the gearbox, past the exhaust and over the top of the engine! Bake Off? You bet! • Hope this helps someone out there! • Happy Days! • Website: https://www.adventures-automobiles.com • T-shirts: https://www.love-and-thunder.co.uk • Passenger Clothing discount code ROAMER10-qmpqua or visit https://community.passenger-clothing....
