Vols Johannus Monday wins first doubles match at Wimbledon

Tennessee’s Johannus Monday is set to take the main courts of Wimbledon Thursday for his first doubles match. • Monday was paired with Jacob Fearnley. They dropped the first set 6-1, but rallied to win the second set 7-5. They took the match by winning a decisive third set 6-4, advancing to the next round. • Monday said on his experience at Wimbledon “honestly you can tell by the smile on my face that it’s been some of the best weeks of my life, to be honest.” • Monday has dreamt of playing at Wimbledon since he was five years old.
