It’s also an affordable option for when you just need the basics covered. • This model has a 3.51kW cooling capacity, which is about right to efficiently cool a room of 20 to 25 square metres. A 4kW model is also available in this series for looking after slightly larger rooms. • Like other portable air conditioners, this model comes with castors on the feet and handles on the sides, allowing you to easily move it from room to room as needed, or pack it away during the off0- season. However, you won’t always be able to use a portable aircon in every room, as they need access to a window where they can vent their hot exhaust air. A flexible hose and window kit are included to ensure a tight seal efficient operation. • You can run this air conditioner using either the electronic control panel at the front, or the included remote control. As well as the cooling mode, there’s also a Fan mode that creates a gentle breeze, and a Dehumidifying mode for drying out your home. You can set one of three fan speeds, or set an • Auto fan speed that adjusts the aircons’s operation to efficiently reach your selected temperature. The aircon features a timer that can be programmed with delayed shutdown or startup times to better suit your schedule. So if you want to come home from work to a cool living room on a hot day, but don’t want to waste energy by running the aircon while you’re not at home, you can set the timer to start it running an hour before you’re due to walk in the door. • To make sure your aircon keeps running efficiently, you’ll need to clean the air filter about once a week. You can find the filter behind the air intake grille at the rear. Just slide it out and remove any built up dust, giving it a gentle rinse in warm water if it’s very dirty. Make sure that it’s completely dry before putting it back in place. • Also found at the rear of the aircon is the drain outlet. If the unit stops cooling or dehumidifying your home because its internal water tank is full, you can let it empty simply by removing the stopper. To avoid making a mess, be sure to lay out a container or tray, or take the unit outside first. • And thats’ the straightforward Omega Altise 3.51kW portable air conditioner, available with a 2 year warranty.
