Telangana enforced a new revenue act - Telangana Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 2020, to bring reforms in land revenue administration. Dharani is a one-stop portal for all matters related to land. The digitalisation of land records will help to reduce land grabbing and disputes. It is convenient for citizens to access ownership details and many services from the comfort of their homes. • The benefits of Dharani are: • •No role of intermediaries • •Cut down unnecessary time lapses • • Real-time updation of records • •Easy-to-maintain land records • Currently, only the details of agriculture are available on the portal. Soon, the govt will also integrate the non-agricultural section and allow its registration.
