In the battle against the so-called Islamic State, it's Kurdish fighters who have been responsible for the most significant victories. Among their ranks, many consider the PKK to have been most effective. But, the group is also accused of being a terrorist organisation by Turkey, and others. In recent weeks Turkey started a bombing campaign against them. The BBC's Jiyar Gol travelled to the PKK's mountain bases in Iraqi Kurdistan for an exclusive interview with the group's main leader, Cemil Bayik.
