#orienteeringsnorkeling #snokeling #orienteering #erasmussport • Inspired by UNICEF’s motto for every child “Focus on what children can do, their abilities, rather than their disability”, “Orienteering with Snorkeling Project” has been developed to encourage physical activeness and social inclusion of physically disabled and non-disabled children by the unifying power of the sports. • “Orienteering with Snorkeling” is an Erasmus+ Sports Project, co-funded by the European Union, with the partnership of Turkey, Bulgaria, and North Macedonia. • The project aims to: • foster an environment that embraces all children, irrespective of physical abilities • cultivate a culture of tolerance, empathy, and respect among participating children • inspire physical activity among children through engaging in orienteering and snorkeling experiences. • The project will focus on orienteering and snorkeling activities in the shallow sea, pool, and lake to bring physically disabled kids together with their non-disabled peers, which will create an inclusive and physically active environment. • The project progress will be in the order; • a training on underwater orienteering map creation, • local implementation of orienteering with snorkeling activities in the pool, lake, and shallow sea • an international orienteering with snorkeling event • Ultimately, the Orienteering with Snorkeling Project stands as a testament to the belief that, with the right conditions, children can achieve remarkable feats together. By focusing on abilities rather than disabilities, this project aims to leave a lasting impact on the participating children and the communities involved, fostering a sense of unity and inclusivity
