Our first job today came from #Dunolly. Yesterday an #easternbrownsnake had been spotted in a chicken coop. So out we went today and found it in about half a minute. • Our second job was also in Dunolly. For those who are on the local Facebook page there, you may have seen reports about a #redbelliedblacksnake crossing the road into the pharmacy carpark where it went under someone's car. Well...out we went again. And again, we found it in about a minute. It was not in the car ... But had slipped under a roller door. up went the roller door and there he was. A photo of the tiny gap it squeezed through is in this video, so people can see how small a gap, such a large snake can get through. • We then headed to #maryborough, where someone's dog had an interaction with a #tigersnake. Unfortunately, the snake did not make it. • We also had a #copperhead in #kyneton, but it left into a paddock. • A school in #staywell had some students report seeing a snake go into their sports shed. • We also headed into #ballarat #haddon where another #copperheadsnake was laying by a hole. When we arrived, it had already moved down the hole, so I got the shovel out and started excavating. Eventually unearthed it. Thankfully the ground was soft ...
