It had been several years since I had seen the film and the main thing I remembered about it was Omar slowly coming out of the mirage. It wasn’t until viewing the film again recently that I realized just how important that scene is to the overall story. So let’s take a look at the creative decisions that went it to making the scene such a wonderful piece of cinema history and how the scene helps shape the characters of Lawrence and Ali.
