Fetal Echogenic Intracardiac Focus || Ultrasound || Anomaly || Case 261 • Blog Link: https://drmahin.blogspot.com/2022/03/... • Clinical Features: • An 18 years old female patient came for a routine 2nd-trimester ultrasound scan. • Ultrasound Features: • A small bright echogenic dot of less than 3mm, is noted at the left ventricle. • Normal rests of the fetal organs. • Remember: • Always compare the echogenicity with an adjacent bone to avoid overdiagnosis. The echogenic cardiac focus should be as bright as the bone. • Echogenic focus is considered to represent mineralization within the papillary muscles. • Echogenic cardiac focus may be found in isolated cases or in trisomy 21 13. • Multiple bilateral echogenic cardiac foci have a high association with aneuploidy. • Thank you for watching. • Share with your friends. • Like Subscribe for more videos. • Don't forget to put your valuable opinions in the Comment box below. • Check the playlist for Congenital Anomaly Lecture videos: • • Congenital Anomaly Lecture Series • Check the playlist for Imaging Study Lecture videos • • Imaging Study Lecture • Check the playlist for Imaging Study Ultrasound Case videos • • Ultrasound Cases • Follow us on • Facebook: / imagingstudychannel • Youtube: / imagingstudy • Instagram: / imagingstudy • Twitter: / imagingstudy • Telegram: https://t.me/ImagingStudy • Blogger: https://drmahin.blogspot.com • #Ultrasound #Radiology #ImagingStudy #Ultrasoundcases #Medical #Imaging #doctor #anomaly #echo #doppler #fetalecho #isuog • #obstetrics #pregnancy #Gynaecology
