Programming the Maqueen Bot with MakeCode for MicroBit

We had a meet up at the bank on Saturday morning and Maddie programmed the Micro Maqueen bot car. First she had to find the code numbers for each button on the remote. Then enter those numbers into the program so when a button press sends a number to the MicroBit, it commands the bot to do some movement, like turn right or turn left or back up. With line follower there is no infra red remote control, the bot just tries to see the black line on white paper and follow that line. We covered over some of the line and added black plastic tape to make the bot try to find its way across the circle; it worked....sort of. Here's the code for : • Finding the corresponding numbers of your remote buttons to the MicroBit program: https://makecode.microbit.org/_361V7b... • For the Infrared control of the bot :https://makecode.microbit.org/_1tF0MJ... • For the line follower:https://makecode.microbit.org/_PDiKFH... • • The web page of complete programs and tutorials for Micro Maqueen Bug Bot: • https://wiki.dfrobot.com/micro_Maquee... • You have to remember to plug your Microbit into your Maqueen bot and TURN IT ON when you do remote control button press for finding the coding numbers.
