This album featured the original singer of Nightwish, Tarja Turunen, as lead vocalist. Her operatic style was a signature sound for the band and she really soars in Sleeping Sun. • When I visited Finland in 2016 for the Kitee International Music and Art Festival in the hometown of Nightwish, I met Tuomas Holopainen's mother and I learned that Sleeping Sun is a favourite of hers - her very favourite song by her son's band. • In the photo at the end of this video is myself, Tuomas Holopainen's mother Kiti Holopainen, and Plamen Dimov.
