It allowed us to make enough test to create this beautiful Umeshu cocktail. L'eau et le riz DID NOT sponsored this video. • How to make cocktails with Umeshu was not an easy challenge. Especially with Sake based Umeshu because it is very light and easy to loose in the process. I believe we succeeded to create a delicious cocktail making the Umeshu the star. • We decided to add a little bit of 94 proof gin to give body to the cocktail recipe. We used Nikka Coffee grain gin which has beautiful citrus notes. The use of miso paste is quite unusual in cocktails but lets say it is like a pinch of salt in a dessert. • Fo Shiso My Miso • 1.5 oz Sake Umeshu • 0.75 oz Gin • 0.75 oz Nori sheet syrup (or simple syrup and pieces of Nori sheet in the shaker) • 0.75 oz Lime juice • 0.5 Tea spoon miso paste • Method • Pour all ingredients into a shaker • Fill it up with ice and shake • Fine strain in a chilled cocktail coupe • Garnish with a piece of Nori on the cocktail • Don't worry this is not complicated mixology, just a delicious drink super easy to make.
