This is a pink winged stick insect at the Montreal Zoo. These guys have quite the camouflage on them. Despite growing up to 21 inches in length, these insects are able to hide in plain sight, blending in among sticks and foliage. As camouflage is their primary defense, many stick insects are nocturnal and will play dead in the face of attack.
