This video talks about the Phobos Monolith and, more importantly, what's real and what's been misunderstood. • Several Images on the phobos Monolith have been processed by Dr Paolo C. Fienga and his team and can be found here - http://www.apod.lunexit.it/?archive=26 • Don’t forget to follow us on Twitter:   / iamalunartic   • Like us on Facebook:   / iamalunartic   • and if you really like Lunartic videos then you can support us on Patreon:   / iamalunartic   • ========================== • Links for your own Investigation • ========================== • Genuine Image 1 • URL: https://ida.wr.usgs.gov/html/sp2551/s... • Name of Image: SP255103 • Satellite Used: MGS (Mars Global Surveyor) • Camera Used: MOC (Mars Orbital Camera) • Click on the URL above and scroll to find the image to find the Phobos Monolith. If you are having trouble locating it, I’ve highlighted it here (https://i.imgur.com/BqfNKSu.png) • Genuine Image 2 • URL: http://apod.lunexit.it/?archive=130 • Name of Image: SP255103 (treated) • Satellite Used: MGS (Mars Global Surveyor) • Camera Used: MOC (Mars Orbital Camera) • The Italian Planetary Foundation took the image described above (SP255103) and did their own enchantments on it, changed the light levels and created a 3D map of the monolith based on its shadow. The image in the URL above has been shared countless times but rarely is it credited back to the original source. • Genuine Image 3 • URL: https://photojournal.jpl.nasa.gov/cat... • Name of Image: PIA04746 • Satellite Used: MGS (Mars Global Surveyor) • Camera Used: MOC (Mars Orbital Camera) • This is quite a simple image of the monolith and a small photo. It’s been highlighted in the NASA Photojournal due to the interest of the monolith, yet they only refer to it as a boulder in the photos description. •   • Genuine Image 4 • URL: https://www.uahirise.org/phobos.php • Name of Image: PIA04746 • Satellite Used: MRO (Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter) • Camera Used: HiRISE (High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment) • To view this particular image, go to the website above and scroll down to the section that’s called “IRB Color”. This section contains two links to high resolution images of Phobos, click on the one title PSP_007769_9010 - this will open the image up in your browser. If you have trouble locating the monolith on the photo (it is quite big) I have highlighted the location of it here (https://i.imgur.com/fnWQ0YB.jpg) • • Mislabelled Images • In order to view these images, you will need to download a piece of software called HiView. It was developed by the University of Arizona to view the images taken by HiRISE. Click here to download a copy of the software (https://www.uahirise.org/hiview/). Now I should warn you, it’s not very intuitive or user friendly, so be patient with it. • • Mislabelled Image 1 • URL: https://hirise.lpl.arizona.edu/PSP_00... • Name of Image: PSP_006737_1265 • Satellite Used: MRO (Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter) • Camera Used: HiRISE (High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment) • This mislabelled image of the monolith is taken from a photo of the Martian surface called “Monitoring Short Temporal Change in Dust Devil Tracks” • You will need to download a certain copy of this image and then open it using the HiView program. It’s a massive file (1220 MB) and is found under the “JP2” section - you will need to download the image called “Black and white map-projected (1220MB)” - click on the hyperlink for “map-projected (1220MB)” or click here (http://hirise-pds.lpl.arizona.edu/dow...) to download the image directly. • When you open the image, it will be like looking for a needle in a haystack when you try to find the mislabelled monolith. That’s why I’ve put this imgur album what will help you find the mislabelled monolith. Click here (https://imgur.com/a/iPk9w) for the highlighted location. • • Mislabelled Image 2 • https://www.uahirise.org/PSP_009342_1725 • Name of Image: PSP_009342_1725 • Satellite Used: MRO (Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter) • Camera Used: HiRISE (High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment) • This mislabelled image of the monolith is taken from a photo of the Martian surface called “Boulders and Layers in Canyon”. Its image is of the Mars Monolith that is often confused for the Phobos Monolith • You will need to download a certain copy of this image and then open it using the HiView program. It’s a massive file (675 MB) and is found under the “JP2” section - you will need to download the image called “Black and white map-projected (675 MB)” - click on the hyperlink for “map-projected (675 MB)” or click here (http://hirise-pds.lpl.arizona.edu/dow...) to download the image directly. • I’ve put together an imgur album to help you locate the Mars Monolith.
