From the Album: Smokin', Year of Release: 1995/2002#blues #bluesrock • Lyrics: Send Me Someone To Love • Can't wait to get back home • Where the sun is always, nice warm • Can't wait to get back home • Where the sun is always, nice warm • You know it's freezin' out here • And that howlin' wind sends a nasty chill through my bones • Oh you know I shivered myself to sleep last night • The cold won't let me be • That's when I woke up and realized that • This ain't no place for me • And I can't, can't wait to get back home • Where the sun is always nice warm • You know it's freezin' out here • And that howlin' wind sends a nasty chill through my bones • Some good old friends got together • And they took me away • From this cold old alley babe • To a warm place I could stay • Oh I can't can't wait to get back home • Where the sun is always nice warm • I'm so happy to see you all • And that old nasty chill is gone • Smokin' is a good electric blues album, but it's hard to divorce an assessment of it from the knowledge that singer/guitarist Jonny Lang was a mere 14 years old when he recorded it. Would one consider it such an achievement if the bandleader were twice that age? Probably not. Without Lang's precocity as a draw, the album is a competent work in a hidebound form. The guitar playing is fluid and professional in a style reminiscent of many other players, notably B.B. King. The singing is fine, but unremarkable. The backup band maintains a groove and gives Lang something to play off of. If you saw a band playing like this in a local club, you'd have a good time. And if you could tell that the guitar player was underage, you'd be far more impressed. But then, that's the point, isn't it? • Jonny Lang The Big Bang (2) – Smokin' • Jonny Lang - Smokin' album cover • Label: Eagle Records – EAGCD238, Eagle Records – GAS 0000238 EAG • Format: • CD, Album, Reissue, Remastered • Country: Germany • Released: 2002 • Genre: Rock, Blues • Style: Blues Rock, Chicago Blues • Bass Guitar, Backing Vocals – Jeff Hayes (4) • Drums, Backing Vocals – Michael Rey Larsen • Engineer – Kirk Moseley, Mike Bullock (2) • Guitar, Backing Vocals – Ted Lightnin' Boy Larsen* • Mastered By – Greg Reierson • Producer – Mike Bullock (2) • Vocals, Guitar – Jonny Lang • You can download the music : • https://www.amazon.com/Smokin-Kid-Jon... • https://open.spotify.com/track/43rZaB... • https://www.allmusic.com/album/smokin... • https://www.jesusfreakhideout.com/cdr... • https://open.spotify.com/album/0tAhHW... • https://www.discogs.com/release/31949... • VIDEO COPYRIGHT DISCLAIMER: Video is made for entertainment purposes only and you can download this track on any authorized website such as, iTunes and Amazon.com...
