At the #EnergyLocalization24 event, Alfanar Projects formalized 𝐒𝐀𝐑 𝟐𝟎 𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 in strategic contracts with Saudi Electricity Company. These agreements align with Vision 2030 and support a comprehensive strategy to strengthen Saudi Arabia's energy sector. Our Executive Management team, led by Sabah Almutlaq, Managing Director of Alfanar Projects, Amer Al Ajmi, and Khalid AlSolami, formalized these transformative agreements to reshape the Kingdom's energy landscape. • A cornerstone of these projects is the high-voltage direct current (HVDC) project, led by Alfanar Projects in partnership with the State Grid Corporation of China. As the largest HVDC project in the Middle East, it features HVDC converter stations and an overhead transmission line interconnection link, connecting Saudi Arabia's central, western, and southern regions with a transmission capacity of 7 GW. In tandem, Alfanar Projects is advancing several other strategic projects, including battery energy storage systems, smart distribution centers, and efforts to integrate renewable energy plants with the national transmission network in a step toward enhancing grid stability, reducing energy loss, and promoting sustainability and energy efficiency. • The file exchange ceremony was honored by the presence of H.R.H. Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Minister of Energy; His Excellency بندر إبراهيم الخريف Bandar Alkhorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources; His Excellency Hamad AL-Sheikh, Minister of State and Council member; Ahmed Al Zahrani, Assistant Minister of Development and Excellence at the Ministry of Energy; and Khalid S. Al-Ghamdi, MIS, CEO of the Saudi Electricity Company. • Alfanar Projects is fortifying Saudi Arabia's energy infrastructure through this ambitious initiative, accelerating the Kingdom's clean energy goals and paving the way for a greener, more resilient future.
