They are 2 of the most used pedals of the last 40 years, so are they the same, or different? The Ibanez Tube Screamer series is an institution in guitar playing as is the giant that is Boss. If you are looking to buy one and can't decide or you're just interested, I hope that you will find this video informative. All excerpts played using a Fender 68 Deluxe Reverb RI. I used my Deluxe Stratocaster for Rounds 1 2 and my Cort M600 for Round 3. • FYI, the Boss knobs on the TS9 don't affect the tone.
