Finally, he will trim and shape the hardened resin and give it one last polish so that it perfectly matches the rest of your tooth. This procedure usually requires only about 30 minutes to an hour. However, if you are having several teeth done, it may be necessary to schedule multiple visits. • To protect your bonded tooth, you should avoid any coffee, tea or cigarettes during the first two days following the procedure, since these substances can easily stain the composite resin.
