𝐌𝐔𝐒𝐈𝐊 𝐔𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐙 • Musik und Tanz vertreten einen lebendigen Teil der rumänischen Volkskunde und es gibt eine große Vielfalt von Musikstilen und Tänzen. Die Partymusik ist sehr lebhaft und zeigt sowohl balkanische und ungarische Einflüsse. Die Sentimentalmusik jedoch ist die wertvollste Musik und Rumänen betrachten ihre“Doina“ (ein trauriges Lied über Land und Liebe, zusammengesetzt wie eine epische Ballade) als einzigartig in der Welt. Maria Tănase, Maria Lătăreţu, Maria Ciobanu und Ileana Sararoiu gelten als einige der größten rumänischen Volksmusiksängerinnen. Heute sind Grigore Leşe und Taraful Haiducilor zwei der berühmtesten Musiker. Die Tänze sind lebendig und werden sowohl von Profi- oder Amateur Gruppen praktiziert. So wird die Tradition lebendig; gehalten. Hora ist einer der berühmtesten Gruppentänze, aber bekannt sind auch die männlichen Volkstänze wie „căluşari“, ein äußerst komplexer Tanz. Spreading across 90 hectares, the museum is the largest open-air ethnography exhibit in Europe. Transport yourself back in time as you explore the grounds; see thatched shepherds’ homes, pottery and iron workshops, a dance pavilion, a pub and windmills from the Black Sea and Danube Delta regions.
