The Gee’s golden langur, endemic to Bhutan and Assam in India, is one of the world’s most endangered primates. In Assam, less than 7000 of the animals remain in the wild today, most of them in fragmented forests. 80 percent of the population lies outside protected areas. https://india.mongabay.com/2020/07/go... • The small, isolated populations are extremely vulnerable due to the risk of inbreeding.
