Ceramic Glass top stoves, like other glass surfaces, are susceptible to pans getting stuck on the ceramic glass cooktop stove surface. When a pot boils over, its contents dry quickly and fuse the pot to your glass top stove if you don't remove the spill. You have to use caution when removing the stuck pot off of your glass top stove -- you don't want to scratch or shatter the glass. The material that is melted under the pan is acting like an adhesive and needs to be heated to release your pan. You also don't want to damage the heating elements under the stove's glass.
