Summertime is lobster time, so here's how you cook live lobsters! • All you need is a giant pot, 4-5 gallons of water, 1 tbsp sea salt/gallon lobsters (ideally 1.25-1.5 lbs). Bring the water to a rapid boil, and put in your lobsters! • Time to boil (This is NOT per lobster; it's for a pot of lobsters that are all roughly the same size. ALSO, don't overcook or you'll make 'em tough!): • 1.25 lb lobsters - 6-7 mins. • 1.5 lb lobsters - 7-9 mins. • 2 lb lobsters - 10-12 mins. • 3 lb lobsters - 12-13 mins. • 5-6 lb lobsters - 18-20 mins.* • *I say keep 'em small - the bigger guys are tougher in general and who needs tough lobsters? • Big thanks to the TruCru: • Producer/editor: Ally Roche • Videographers: Jordy Roth Sophie Roth • TruCru Mascot: Chazz Michael Michaels • Honorary TruCru peeps: Mia Kushner, Sammi Kushner, Caroline Maltz, Maxi Witrak • Subscribe for awesome new videos the 1st 3rd Thursdays monthly! • http://bit.ly/2aky6xb • Find me on social media! • Facebook: / itsthetrustory • Instagram: / itsthetrustory • Twitter: / itsthetrustory • TruStory Theme Song: No One Can Be That Happy by Dan Weintraub, http://www.danweintraubacoustic.com/
