This is the easy part - simple ingredients make for a sweet, perfectly moist yellow cake that balances out the sweetness of the caramel icing. • To make a homemade caramel frosting, you have to make homemade caramel. Now, I know that sounds intimidating. But if you follow my instructions, I promise y'all will have a perfect caramel frosting! This homemade Southern Caramel Cake is a crowd-pleaser no matter what occasion you make it for. My family requests it ALL THE TIME!
