This song came to me in a dream back in October of 2020. It quickly began to fade as I woke. What I remembered was being a Russian soldier in another country drinking with my comrades as we stumbled about at night in a graveyard singing patriotic hymns. I had grown weary of hearing foreign names and longed for my native land. The time period seemed to be about a hundred years ago. • With the dream rapidly fading, I tried to distill it as best I could. It took on a more Dylanesque feeling, but I still felt it closely resembled the dream's original music.
