Step into a world of acoustic techno as I take on the challenge of getting the crowd moving using only live instruments like the Didgeridoo, Cajon, Handpan/Aquadrum Pro 11, Mizhar, Riq, Darabuka, and Claves. • We began the session with a breathwork exercise, lying on the floor to transition from a natural high state induced by breathwork into the dance. My goal was to guide participants into a state of movement, like ecstatic dance but with more freedom - no rules, no interruptions. Some continued using the breathing technique throughout the dance. • This recording was captured on New Year’s Eve 2022 at the Vitality Base in Vienna with the help of Sofie Binder. Just before the event, someone from Pakistan reached out to me, offering help with the video editing—something I usually handle myself, like all aspects of my projects. I sent him the SD cards with the footage while focusing on the audio. • For a few months, we stayed in touch, exchanging updates. But then, suddenly, he vanished. Later, I found out he had gone to work as a volunteer in an area without cell service. • A year and a half had passed since the event, and I realized that after mixing other recordings, my skills had evolved, and I no longer liked the original mix. I redid everything from scratch. A few times... After 29 versions I was agreeing with myself. • Then I took over the video editing myself—and got stuck. The lighting was tricky, and I wasn’t making any progress.
