3 Days Solo Camping in the Mountains of Scotland Part 3 Hilleberg Anaris

Join me on the third day of my Scottish Highlands packrafting adventure. After enduring a long and challenging hike through inclement weather, I am finally rewarded with calm conditions as I paddle the entire length of the next loch. Upon reaching the end, I find an incredible spot to set up my tent on a picturesque pebble beach. Unfortunately, the winds suddenly cease, and while I am treated to an wonderful sunset, I am forced to contend with some of the most intense swarms of midges I have ever encountered in my life 😅. The midgets were admittedly, a bit maddening, but I made the best of it before being forced to take shelter in the tent for the rest of the evening. The following day, I embark on a hike through a glen to return to the original loch where I started my trip, and I paddle back to my car. Overall, Scotland did not disappoint, offering a diverse range of conditions in one of the most beautiful places on Earth.
