You will find that this same process is the same for all modern BMWs equipped with the iDrive infotainment system. • Download the latest BMW iDrive update for your car with the link below • https://www.bmw.com/en/footer/softwar... • You will need a USB thumb drive formatted to fat32 • STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS. • STEP 1: Locate your VIN number. • STEP 2: Find out which iDrive update version you are currently running. • STEP 3: Format your USB thumb drive to fat32. • STEP 4: Go to BMW.com/update • STEP 5: Type in your VIN number to see if there is a update available for your car. • STEP 6: Download update .zip file. • STEP 7: Place update .zip file on your USB drive. • STEP 8: Plug USB thumb drive in the USB port in your car. • STEP 9: Go to system update on iDrive and update to the new firmware. • STEP 10: Turn off the car entirely and then restart the car. • Your iDrive system should now be updated to the latest firmware. • WELCOME TO MY CHANNEL!
