BTW.. This is the bread that we use when we make our Classic Lasagna (Easy Freezer Meal) recipe. I finally got around to making the video!! • Recipe: • 1 Tablespoon Salt • 1 Tablespoon Sugar • 1 Tablespoon Active Dry Yeast • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil • 2 Cups of warm water (not hot) • 6 cups of bread flour (or AP if you can't find bread flour) • In a mixing bowl combine the salt, sugar, yeast, oil, and water. Let sit for 5 minutes to activate the yeast. Add the flour and begin to knead. The end result should be a smooth ball of dough that doesn't stick to the sides of your mixer or counter and is springy when you poke it.. • After the kneading process place in a bowl covered for 1-2 hours (till it doubles in size). After it doubles in size portion your loaves. We do a bunch of small baguettes that double as cheesy sticks, hot dog buns, fresh sandwich buns, you name it. This recipe is very versatile. Our portions are 100 grams each but you can make your however large or small you want. When you are finished portioning your dough form your loaves. Place on a cookie sheet and toss them in the freezer to firm up. After they are firm you can store them in a ziplock bag or wrap tightly in seran wrap. • To bake take frozen baguettes and place them on a greased baking sheet. We brush ours with butter as well. Let the rest in a warm area to thaw and double in size. Once doubled bake at 375F for 25 minutes. If your loaf is family size you will want to bake a little longer till the bread sounds hollow inside when you tap it.. • Here are some links to the products that we use and trust.
