But not as heavy as the prodigal himself, the lost son. The Bible says there is a confusion that surrounds that kind of rebellion against God, that clouds his thinking. How God must grieve over those who have strayed from His love. Have you turned your back on God? Maybe it's time for you to return to the Lord, and as the Bible says, he will abundantly pardon you. Some think they are too bad for God to want them, but that's just a lie and don't believe it for a minute. God can and will forgive when you repent of your sins and pray to Jesus to be your Savior and forgive you of your sins. You can have that deep assurance of His salvation today, right now, He's waiting to hear from you. And maybe it's not that, but you just feel like you aren't as close to God as you used to be and want to get back to where you were with Him, he will hear that prayer too, and welcome you back with open arms.
