Time-lapse of the differentiation of somatic embryos from grapevine. Starting from a suspension culture, the somatic embryos were sowed on a semi-permeable acetate cellulose membrane placed on differentiation medium. In the course of the video you can see how the embryos cross the different stages of differentiation: heart, torpedo and cotyledonary, progressively. • For the realization of this time-lapse, photos have been taken every hour from the beginning of the culture during for 32 days. Because the framerate is 24 fps, 1 second of video equals approximately 2 days in real time. • ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- • To go into more detail (culture media, times, results, etc.), the references of the articles on which the whole process is based: • Acanda Y, Prado MJ, González MV, Rey M (2013) Somatic embryogenesis from stamen filaments in grapevine (Vitis vinifera L . cv .
