Ingredients: • 1 tbsp olive oil • 1 small onion, chopped • 3 cloves garlic, minced • 1 lb ground Italian sausage (or ground beef/chicken) • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce • ½ cup heavy cream • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional) • 1 package (20 oz) refrigerated cheese tortellini • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish • Instructions: • 1. Cook the sausage: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sausage and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess grease. • 2. Sauté onion and garlic: Push the sausage to the side of the skillet and add the chopped onion. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until soft, then add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. • 3. Add sauce and seasoning: Stir in the marinara sauce, heavy cream, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix well and bring to a simmer. • 4. Add tortellini: Stir in the tortellini, ensuring they are well-coated with the sauce. Cover the skillet and simmer for 7-8 minutes, or until the tortellini are tender and cooked through. • 5.
